  My favorite new find! I recently read an article about classic restaurants every Las Vegan should try, which is how I discovered Hugo's Cellar. The article stated it was similar to the Golden Steer (which I love). So, my husband and I decided to give it a try.
  
  It's crazy to walk from the casino down the steps and enter such a different atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, I knew we had a great find. All ladies are greeted with red roses, which are my favorite. The Maître D' was very pleasant. We were seated in the honeymoon booth, which was a comfortable experience and enjoyable view.
  
  Immediately upon being seated, we were greeted and drinks were ordered. The menus had red roses, the lantern on the wall was a rose, the Tiffany-style fan lights had roses, and the butter for the bread was shaped as a rose. It was great. We ordered the lobster bisque, which was absolutely delicious. It was actually my favorite item of the evening. I ordered the petite filet surf and turf and my husband ordered the lamb.
  
  With one's entree, their table-made salad is included. It was a nice, customized experience. I really enjoyed the honey-orange-walnut vinaigrette. After salad, they brought a raspberry sorbet on a mini cone to cleanse the palette. It was a cute and fun treat.
  
  My husband really enjoyed his lamb. I enjoyed my filet dish but was only able to eat half. The mashed potatoes were really good. After dinner, they provide complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries, fig, and apricot, along with whipped cream. I enjoyed the strawberry more than the other items.
  
  On top of that (not that I had room), I ordered the crème brûlée, which is my favorite dessert, and I order it just about everywhere that offers it. Honestly, I thought it was pretty bland. The texture was great for the crème, the sugar topping was perfectly caramelized. However, the flavor of the custard was bland. I think it could benefit from some vanilla bean or a hint of another flavor.
  
  Overall, though, I really enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend this restaurant as a must for an experience and a treat.

  A very romantic dinner ambiance indeed. Babes took me here for my 25th birthday. From beginning to end it's like a fairy tale. The service is excellent and the food, superb. They made us feel like VIP. I couldn't tell you what my favorite part of the night was because it was all so magical. The salad starter was just amazing... making your salad exactly how you like it. Then the main courses were absolutely delicious. Dessert wow-ed me. And it's definitely a place I hope to continue to come to for future celebrations. :)

  Going down the list of all Steakhouses on Fremont, so for this trip in to town, I decided to take my girlfriend to Hugo's Cellar.  
  
  Everything you've heard is true....   A beautiful rose for the lady when you arrive, great bar and witty bartender with drink skills!!  Quick seating.  Impeccable service.  And the food is fantastic.  Most entrees come with a side and the steaks are cooked to perfection.
  
  The dinner salad made table-side with exactly what you want in it while the waiter chats with you is such a wonderful touch and makes you feel welcome.
  
  Our New York strips were done perfectly, one with crab, one with bleu cheese crust.  Sides were excellent as were our cocktails.
  
  I honestly have no complaints but one...  And I've heard it said before.  Depending on where you are sat, other tables being loud or boisterous can be very annoying and ruin the ambiance somewhat.  Otherwise, an overall fantastic restaurant with amazing service and the old-school Vegas vibe!

  Absolutely amazing!!! One of the best steaks I have had in a long time. This place really takes you back in time and it just you feel good when you walk in! Our server Carlos was superb!!! If you like great and even greater service come to Hugo's Cellar!!!

  This may be the very best downtown "Old School" steak house I have experienced! The servers are all male, have been there for a very long time and knowledgeable. I enjoy dining when you don't get charged for every additional item, everything but the dessert is included. From the salad (table side with an amazing citrus walnut vinaigrette), perfectly cooked steak and the chocolate dipped fruit as a finish, it could not have been a better experience!  I enjoyed the Kona coffee at the end of the meal, should have ordered when my steak arrived as it takes 20 minutes to prepare, best table preparation of coffee EVER!
